The Relationship Edition was created to help you explore who you are, how you connect, and what it means to make room for healthy relationships outside of work mode.
You can play with a partner, someone you’re getting to know, friends, or yourself. You do not need to be in a romantic relationship to use this deck.
There are no perfect answers here. Just honesty, curiosity, laughter, and conversations worth making time for.
Take a breath. Put the phones away. Let’s get into it.
What You’ll Need
- The Relationship Edition card deck
- An open mind
- A willingness to listen
- Optional: a partner, date, friends, journal, snacks, or something good to sip
What’s Inside the Deck
The deck includes 60 conversation cards across five categories:
Self
Questions that help you understand your needs, patterns, boundaries, and relationship with yourself.
Connection
Prompts that explore how we build trust, create closeness, and feel seen by others.
Communication & Intimacy
Questions about vulnerability, affection, conflict, emotional safety, and expressing what we need.
Growth & Future
Prompts that invite honest conversations about change, commitment, shared values, and what comes next.
Just for Fun
Playful questions that bring more laughter, imagination, and lightness into the conversation.
Shuffle the full deck for a little bit of everything, or choose one category based on the conversation you want to have.
Ways to Play
With a Partner or Someone You’re Dating
Perfect for date night, relationship check-ins, or getting beyond small talk.
- Shuffle the deck or choose a category.
- Whoever planned the last date goes first.
- Draw a card, read it aloud, and answer first.
- Invite the other person to answer the same question.
- Ask one thoughtful follow-up question if you’d like to go deeper.
- Keep playing until the conversation feels complete.
You do not have to finish the deck. One meaningful conversation is enough.
With Friends
Use the deck during game nights, dinners, trips, or intentional hangouts.
- Shuffle the deck.
- Choose someone to draw the first card.
- That person reads the question and answers first.
- Go around the group, or let anyone who feels called to share.
- The next player draws a new card.
- Keep going until you’re ready to wrap up.
What is shared in the group should stay in the group.
Solo Journaling Mode
You do not need a partner to reflect on love, connection, or the relationships you want to build.
- Shuffle the deck and pull one to three cards.
- Write your responses without editing or judging yourself.
- Set a five- to ten-minute timer for each prompt if helpful.
- Notice any recurring desires, fears, boundaries, or patterns.
- Return to the same questions later and see what has changed.
Use the deck to get clearer about what you need, what you offer, and what you are ready to receive.
Rules for Meaningful Conversation
The Pass Rule: Anyone can skip a question at any time. No explanation required.
The Listening Rule: Listen to understand, not to prepare a response.
The No-Fixing Rule: Not every answer needs advice or a solution.
The Curiosity Rule: You may ask one respectful follow-up question, but no interrogations.
The Privacy Rule: Do not share someone else’s answer outside the conversation without their permission.
The No-Weaponizing Rule: What someone shares during the game should never be used against them later.
Honesty counts. Silence counts. Laughter counts. Passing counts.
A Note from Off Worque
Worque/life balance is not only about making time away from your job. It is also about making room for yourself and the relationships that make life meaningful.
This deck was created to help you slow down, look inward, and connect more intentionally. Use it on first dates, during long-term relationship check-ins, around the table with friends, or alone with your journal.
Use it often. Use it imperfectly. Most importantly, use it to make space for the love and connection that work should never replace.
